Not going to lie: I’m close to tears while typing this blog because of how much I enjoyed this concert. I was with my two cousins, jumping and having fun with the boys who made our youth beautiful. While Super Shows are my home ground, BTS concerts are the ones that made me enjoy my youth and remind me that I’m not alone in this journey.

15 Years Later: A Super Junior Special Blog

“Without stopping, Super Junior kept on running for 10 years.”

These were the opening lines for Super Junior’s Devil teaser 5 years ago, when the chicken ran around the boys and Kangin’s pants fell off. One of the comments said that Super Junior started doing the mannequin challenge before it went viral the following year 🤣 It’s still a fitting line, now that the boys have ran until their 15th year. It’s a long journey, filled with ups and downs, with members leaving and returning, with issues that tested the boys and the fandom.

Originally an open letter for the 아저씨들, I have decided to make it a reflection of my journey as an ELF and staying beside Super Junior throughout their lifetime. Some ELFs love to share how they started with their journey, and here’s my take on it.

I’m listening to INFINITE’s discography again para feel ko ang pag-type 🤣 I’m going to replay it twice in order to refresh/remember some b-sides. (Carrying over the tita fan on my other faves so please don’t hate me 🤣)

Everyone has that one concert that took away their concert virginity. As for me, my second bias group — INFINITE — took it on November 3, 2013, when they held their first solo concert in the Philippines. Technically it’s their 2nd return to the country, but this marks their first solo, full concert.

We finally reach the end of our Seoul 2019 journey! 😭 It hasn’t sunk that we would be leaving, but — just like watching a K-pop concert — it felt more like a ‘see you again soon!’

On my penultimate day before departing Seoul, we decided to look around South Korea’s flora an hour away from the metro. It’s also in this trip that I found that my favorite season is spring, and that flowers and good gardening makes me happy.
